Danish is part of the group of Scandinavian languages and the majority of words come from the “Old Norse”.
Danish is strictly connected to the English language and very many words are similar.
The pronunciation can often be a challenge even for the English native speakers: it is monotonous as compared to Norwegian and Swedish.
The modern Danish and the modern Norwegian use the same alphabet but the pronunciation differs a lot from one to the other.
