Japanese courses
Japanese is not directly connected to any language family.
Japanese is not a tonal language and thus the pronunciation is easier.
The Japanese culture is fascinating and varied; some parts have been exported – ikebana, the ceremony of tea, the sushi. The graphic art developed lastly a lot in Japan.
Japanese uses four writing systems: Kanji, Hiragana, Katakana and Romanji. Japanese has four different modalities of addressing:
- Kun (respectful)
- Chan (friends and children)
- San (universal)
- Sama (also respectful)
The vocabulary can vary depending on the gender of the speaker: women use other words than men.
Verbs are placed at the end of the sentence. Almost all the words finish in vowels that give a rhythm to the Japanese language.
