Development and Levels

Echo defines language achievement in six levels from Level 1 (complete beginner) to Level 6 (Advanced +) but they can be continued either by the business or professional courses or by the exam preparation ones.

1. Elementary
This course addresses to those people who never learnt the language or have very vague and unclear knowledge.
What will happen at the end of this course?
The student will be able to write and read short and simple texts, to comprehend short phrases and simple words, to use correctly the verbal forms of present, the verbs “to be” and “to have”, to know the differences between the article (if the case be) and to be able to form the plural of the nouns, to build up short contexts.
2. Elementary Plus
This course addresses to those people who acquired the knowledge of the elementary level or who can generate their own contexts using the remembered knowledge.
What will happen at the end of this course?
At the end of this course, you will be able to take part into conversations with a higher degree of interactivity, you will be able to follow up conversations of a certain easiness, you will be able to write texts with a higher degree of difficulty; you will be able to master the two tenses, the present and the past, the degree of comparison of adjectives, the pronouns at the different cases.
3. Intermediate
This course addresses to students having a varied vocabulary and who can make conversations easily enough in relatively simple situations (free time activities, voyages, phone conversations, family presentation or company’s presentation).
What will happen at the end of this course?
The student will be able to express himself/herself in more difficult conversations, to read, to understand texts with a high degree difficulty and not lastly to self-correct. From a grammatical point of view, the student will be able to master the conditional structures, to know well the differences of using the basic tenses, to be able to render a dialogue.
4. Intermediate Plus
This course addresses to those students having a rich vocabulary and deep and correct grammar knowledge.
What will happen at the end of this course?
This course will give you the possibility of having a fluent conversation, possibly with native speakers on any theme, to understand a complex text, to write highly correct texts.
5. Advanced
For registering with this course, the student should have strong knowledge of grammar and vocabulary from all specializations.
What will happen at the end of this course?
At the end of this course you are going to accomplish a high difficulty degree conversation; you will understand a wide range of idiomatic and familiar expressions, you will be able to read texts in a variety of styles, you will be able to write clear and well-structured texts.
6. Advanced Plus
To register to this level, the student should have complete grammar knowledge, rich vocabulary to be able to construct any kind of conversation. In general, this course is addressed to students wishing to prepare for specialized exam (for example, the students of English course can start preparing for Cambridge Advanced English Exam).
