Norwegian language courses at Echo

Norwegian is a Germanic language spoken in Norway. It is closely tied to Swedish and Danish.

There are two forms of written Norwegian : Bokmal (standard Norwegian) and Nynorsk (New Norwegian).

The spoken language has many dialects, most of them being closer to Nynorsk. In the last 20 years, there has been a resurection of dialects, except for a noteworthy difference around the capital, Oslo, where dialects were abandoned in favour of standard Norwegian.

Norwegian has a fairly simple grammar, easier than the one of other Germanic languages. Nouns in Norwegian are classified in three genders: male, female, neutral, while the female and male nouns are united in the common gender, and verbal times are formed almost as in English.

You can take Norwegian language courses at Echo School of Languages individually, or in a small group.
